My band The Woodblocks is recording new material!
I recently got hands on a amazing instrument - the Logan String Melody II. It is a vintage stringer from '74 and it is absolutely gorgeus! The new recording will feature it alot.

This sunday I played the first of hopefully more concerts with Saint Nielsen & His Sisters of Salvation. The band is centered about the character and songs of Saint Nielsen, and a concert is certainly a unique experience! Info about more gigs to come. Nielsen is writer, journalist and multi artist. Link

Just bought a very nice analogue korg sequencer from '78 from the danish electronica artist Bjørn Svin. It suits my MS20 absolutely perfect, and trying it out for the first time today I recorded this little piece in one take - no dubs only a little reverb and lots of my Evans Tape Echo. Also heard on the track is my Farfisa VIP organ & the Roland SH2.

Today the album "Ti" is released, a record with collaborations between 10 danish writers/authors and 10 different danish musical acts. GRAF & Jan Sonnergaard is featured on the track "Eva & Strudesen", and other danish writers such as Søren Ulrik Thomsen, Jørgen Leth, Naja Marie Aidt, Claus Høxbroe, Christel Wiinblad & Jens Blendstrup is also tributing to the release.
The record is for sale from spring 2012 in book and music stores all over Denmark.

I spent yesterday in the studio with norwegian singer Mia Marlen Berg ao., creating and recording music for a new movie by the danish director Theis Mølstrøm Christensen. The movie takes place in Cairo, and it is a syllable on the dream of political freedom for the people of Egypt.
You can watch it at CPH:DOX 2011 in november this year.

GRAF has collaborated with the acclaimed danish writer Jan Sonnergaard to do a text/music project. It will be featured on an album to be released this fall. We are very proud and glad to work with Jan - speaking for myself, I have been a great fan of his writing for years.

Hooray - breaking news!
I am so pleased to announce, that my band Olo-olO Orchestra has recieved 50.000,- DKR to a tour around the nordic countries from Nordisk Kulturfond!
We are so excited about this, and very much looking forward to see you all around Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland this fall. More info to come.

During the long and cold danish winter GRAF met up for some experimenting maschine impro sessions. The result ended out being really spacey and you can listen to some snippets here! All the music is fully improvised and no dubs used.

I just bought an old Oberheim OB-8 from Norway! The OB-8 is a huge polyphonic analogue synthesizer from 1982, and I bought it of a nice guy who travelled all the way from Norway via night bus with it!
It is an amazing synth for creating noise and ambient textures, and for a school solo project I created this track spending some hours alone in the studio. Only OB-8, Roland SH-2 and drumsamples used.
